Pick-Up and First Stop: Ano Syros

We’ll pick you up at your location and begin our tour in the old settlement of Ano Syros. Unlike Ermoupoli, which features colorful mansions and neoclassical buildings, Ano Syros combines medieval charm with Cycladic architecture. Built as a fortress town on a hill above Ermoupoli, it has narrow streets, tightly packed houses, and wooden gates that protected it from pirate raids.

As we walk through its winding streets, you’ll see whitewashed and colorful houses, bougainvillea-filled courtyards, quaint tavernas, and shops. We’ll also visit Saint George Church, the Catholic diocese of Syros, located at the highest point of the hill.

Discover Apano Meria’s Tranquil Beauty

Next, we’ll leave the old town and head to Apano Meria, a peaceful area dotted with farmhouses. Here, the scents of fennel, thyme, and wild olives fill the air. The view is stunning, offering a glimpse into a timeless landscape.

Visit a Historic Vineyard

Our journey continues to one of Europe’s oldest vineyards, located in the north of Syros. Surrounded by a barren Aegean landscape, the vineyard is bathed in sunlight and peaceful sounds from nature. Here, we’ll relax, enjoy local wines and bites, and admire a beautiful Syros sunset.
