Kimolos is an island in the Aegean Sea, belongs to the Cyclades and is located north of Milos. Τhe island gave its name to the white rock, the well-known chalk from blackboards. Αccording to the myth, the island got its name from Kimolos, its first inhabitant who was the husband of Sidi, daughter of Taurus. Prassa, Aliki, Agios Georgios, and Kalamitsi are the best beaches on the island, Aliki and Kalamitsi lie on the southern side of the island, while Agios Georgios can be found on the northern side. Chorio, the only village and capital of the island. There, you will find many hotels, restaurants, traditional taverns and all kinds of facilities for a convenient stay. Must-visit places in Chorio include the Folk & Maritime and the Archeological Museums, thanks to its proximity to the port and the fact that it is touristically developed.
