Paleokastritsa-Exclusive Wine Tasting Tour

This excursion leaves the port and heads to Paleokastritsa, perhaps the most picturesque resort on the island with
fine beaches, wooded hills and crystal-clear sheltered bays pierced by black rocks. You will visit Paleokastritsa
venerable monastery, founded in 1226, which supports a beautiful church. The Byzantine Monastery of the
Virgin – still inhabited by a community of monks – and its small museum, housing a unique collection of Byzantine
icons and church relics. Shady archways and lovely gardens enhance the restful aura. From the Monastery
gardens you can admire breathtaking views over the beautiful bays of Paleokastritsa below, with their crystal-clear
waters and rocky promontories.
Your coach takes you to the Ropa Valley where you will visit the THEOTOKIS Estate and Winery; you will visit the
farm, the wine press and taste the local wine varieties. You will be given an orientation by a farm employee (ENG
speaking). At the farm’s shop you will find the famous Theotoky wine, as well as the other farm products at farm
price (1/2 of retail prices).
