Day 1: Arrival in Athens
Arrive in Athens, where you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the evening at your leisure, whether you prefer to relax or explore the city’s vibrant atmosphere.
Day 2: Athens to Nafplio (Corinth Canal, Mycenae, Epidaurus)
Begin your journey with a scenic drive along the southern coastal road, stopping at the famous Corinth Canal, which separates mainland Greece from the Peloponnese Peninsula. Continue to Mycenae, the legendary site linked to the Trojan War, where you’ll visit the Archaeological Site and the impressive Treasury of Atreus. Then, head to Epidaurus, home to the best-preserved ancient theatre renowned for its exceptional acoustics. Proceed to Nafplio, a charming town that was once the first capital of modern Greece. Enjoy an overnight stay and dinner at a local taverna.
Day 3: Nafplio to Olympia
After breakfast, travel to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Explore the Archaeological Site, including the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum, to learn about the Games’ origins and significance. Stay overnight in Olympia, with dinner at your hotel.
Day 4: Olympia to Delphi (Rion-Antirion Bridge, Nafpaktos, Itea)
Today, drive through the picturesque plains of Ilia and Achaia, crossing the impressive Rion-Antirion Bridge, one of Europe’s longest suspension bridges. Stop in the charming town of Nafpaktos (Lepanto), known for its medieval history, and the coastal village of Itea, before reaching Delphi, the spiritual heart of ancient Greece. Visit the famous Delphi Archaeological Site and the Delphi Museum, home to the Oracle of Apollo. In the evening, we travel to Arachova, a picturesque mountain village, for an overnight stay and dinner.
Day 5: Arachova to Kalambaka (Wine Tasting & Meteora)
In the morning, travel to Kalambaka, a town located at the base of the awe-inspiring Meteora rock formations. En route, stop in the wine-producing region near Trikala for a wine-tasting session at a local vineyard, where you’ll also learn about the winemaking process. Upon arrival in Kalambaka, enjoy some free time to explore or relax. Stay overnight in Kalambaka with dinner.
Day 6: Meteora Monasteries & Return to Athens
Today, explore the Meteora Monasteries, perched atop towering rock formations. These UNESCO World Heritage Sites offer breathtaking views and fascinating Byzantine art. Afterward, drive back to Athens, passing through Trikala and Lamia, with a brief stop at Thermopylae to visit the Leonidas Monument. Arrive in Athens by evening for check-in at your hotel.
Day 7: Departure from Athens
After breakfast, transfer to Athens International Airport for your departure flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of classical Greece.
