Aigio is a coastal city of the northern Peloponnese and is the second largest city of Achaia.

Aigio is a coastal city of the northern Peloponnese and is the second largest city of Achaia. The areas of special interest for tourists are the old part of the city and the beach from the train statio to the church of Panagia Trypitis, where the old raisin warehouses can be seen but also of the old paper factory. Archaeological findings from Aegio and Aegialia are kept today in the city’s Archaeological Museum. Τhere are many beach taverns where you can enjoy seafood and local dishes. Αt a short distance is the city of Patras as well as the Rio-Antirio bridge that connects the Pelponnisos with western and mainland Greece.
