Poros is at the southeastern of Saronic bay and consists of two smaller islands. Sfiraia and Kalavria. These both islands are connected by a canal. The city and the port are amphitheatrically built. Daily boats are departing from Piraeus almost every hour, and it takes only 2 hours.

The nearest airport is Athens International Airport. Additionally, Poros can be accessed by car from the town of Galatas in the Peloponnese.
