When Grant reached out to us, he was looking to plan something special in northern Greece—something personal, local, and relaxed. His request turned into a perfectly curated experience that blended history, nature, and a touch of local charm.
Thessaloniki: Culture with a Personal Touch
The trip began with a private tour in Thessaloniki for a group of four guests. With a driver and local guide by their side, they explored the city over four calm, engaging hours.
They wandered through landmarks like the White Tower, the vibrant Modiano Market, and the scenic Old Town. Along the way, they enjoyed stories about the city’s rich past—from Byzantine times to its modern-day culture. The relaxed pace made it feel like a personalized walk with a local friend, not a typical tourist tour.
Kavala: A Pure Summer Escape
The following day brought a very different kind of experience in the coastal city of Kavala. This time, the group expanded to 13 guests for a five-hour private boat cruise.
Kavala, often called the “blue city,” is a charming seaside town known for its Roman aqueduct, colorful hillside houses, and stunning views of the Aegean. The group set off on a cruise that focused purely on swimming, relaxing, and savoring the moment.
They anchored in crystal-clear waters and swam in hidden coves only reachable by boat. A delicious local lunch was served onboard, made with fresh ingredients from nearby villages. As a highlight, they met a local fisherman, shared stories, and toasted with traditional Raki—an unforgettable surprise that added heart to the experience.
A Northern Greece Adventure to Remember
Though different in pace and style, both Thessaloniki and Kavala offered Grant’s group something truly memorable. In Thessaloniki, they walked through history. In Kavala, they floated through summer magic.
The combination of these two destinations offered a unique balance—culture and relaxation, connection and celebration.
