Experience a creative and unique activity in one of Nafplio’s oldest preserved houses. This workshop invites you to explore the fascinating world of “komboloi,” traditional Greek worry beads. Surrounded by the captivating scents of materials, you’ll learn about the history of komboloi and discover the different types used throughout the years.
Next, you’ll craft your own komboloi using various materials. The process is simple and enjoyable, guided by experts who teach you the techniques to make your own beautiful piece. At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your handmade creation, a true souvenir of your experience.
The workshop lasts 40 minutes and begins at the Komboloi Museum, located in Nafplio’s old town. For added convenience, you can arrange transportation to and from the museum for an additional charge. The activity includes an introduction to the history of komboloi and a demonstration of the various rosary types.
This experience is available in both Greek and English, and children 10 years and older can participate. The Komboloi Museum operates daily from 10:00 to 17:00, except on Tuesdays and public holidays. Each session accommodates two to six people, ensuring a more intimate experience.
