Athens – Santorini – Crete – Rhodes

Day 1: Arrival in Athens

Welcome to Athens! Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by our representative, who will assist you and escort you to your hotel. After checking in and settling down, take the rest of the day at your leisure. Start your exploration with a walk through Plaka or Thissio for a taste of traditional Athens, lined with charming tavernas, cafés, and shops. Enjoy your first authentic Greek meal in one of these quaint locales, as you get a feel for the vibrant atmosphere of the city.

Day 2: Athens Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, meet your guide at your hotel for the Athens Half-Day Sightseeing Tour. This tour is a fantastic way to discover the highlights of the city and experience its rich history in just a few hours. Visit iconic landmarks like Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Academy of Athens, the Greek Parliament, and of course, the Acropolis and its state-of-the-art museum. This tour will provide you with a concise yet fulfilling introduction to ancient Greece.

Day 3: Travel to Santorini

In the morning, your driver will transfer you to the port for your ferry ride to Santorini, the crown jewel of the Aegean. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by our local collaborator and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, spend the rest of the day exploring Fira, the island’s vibrant capital, or wander through the picturesque streets of Oia, with its charming boutiques and restaurants offering stunning views of the caldera.

Day 4: Explore Santorini

Today is your full day to experience the beauty of Santorini. You can choose from a variety of activities, such as visiting ancient archaeological sites like Akrotiri, or relaxing on the unique volcanic beaches of Red Beach and Black Beach. For a truly unforgettable experience, join a sailing tour to the caldera, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the island while indulging in a freshly-cooked meal and drinks on board. As the day draws to a close, find a spot to watch the famous Santorini sunset, one of the most iconic views in the world. For an adventurous twist, you can rent ATVs to explore the island’s hidden gems.

Day 5: Travel to Crete

After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time in Santorini. Whether you want to do some last-minute shopping or take one final stroll along the cliffs, make the most of your morning before catching the high-speed ferry to Crete. On arrival in Heraklion, you will be greeted by our collaborator and transferred to your hotel. The evening is yours to explore the area or enjoy a delicious dinner of Cretan specialties. Be sure to try Cretan cheesecake—a local favorite!

Day 6: Explore Crete (Heraklion)

Today, explore the rich history of Heraklion and the surrounding area. A visit to the Palace of Knossos, the ancient seat of the Minoan civilization, is a must. Just a short distance from Heraklion, the palace offers an immersive glimpse into a culture that flourished over 4,000 years ago. The Throne Room, with its intricate frescoes and vibrant history, is a highlight. Alternatively, if you’re looking for more adventure, consider hiking the island’s scenic trails, visiting nearby villages, or exploring Crete’s beautiful beaches and secluded bays.

Day 7: Travel to Rhodes

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Heraklion Airport for your flight to Rhodes. Upon arrival, our local representative will meet you and take you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring Rhodes Town—a UNESCO World Heritage site full of medieval charm. Stroll through the Old Town, admire the Grand Master’s Palace, and discover the island’s vibrant culture by sampling local delicacies at one of the many taverns.

Day 8: Explore Rhodes

Enjoy a full day exploring the diverse island of Rhodes. The island boasts a rich tapestry of civilizations, from ancient Greece to the Ottoman Empire. Visit the Acropolis of Lindos with its stunning views, or explore the ancient city of Kamiros. If you’re visiting between mid-June and September, don’t miss the Valley of the Butterflies, a peaceful haven for nature lovers. Rhodes is also home to several medieval castles and mosques, which showcase its unique historical blend. A perfect day to immerse yourself in the island’s fascinating heritage.

Day 9: Return to Athens

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Rhodes Airport for your flight back to Athens. Upon arrival, your driver will transfer you to your hotel for your last night in Greece. Spend the rest of the day as you please—perhaps revisit a favorite spot in the city, or indulge in one last meal at a local taverna. Don’t forget to pick up a souvenir to remember your unforgettable Greek adventure!

Day 10: Departure from Athens

On your final morning, enjoy a relaxing breakfast before meeting your driver at the hotel lobby for your transfer to Athens International Airport. We hope you have had an incredible journey through Greece, filled with history, culture, and unforgettable memories!
