Day 1: Arrival in Athens

Upon arrival at Athens Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Athens. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or take an optional tour of Athens. Explore the iconic Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, where you can marvel at the ancient monuments and artifacts that shaped the Golden Age of Athens. Visit the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896 (brief stop), and pass by notable landmarks including the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament, and Syntagma Square. On the Acropolis itself, admire the masterpieces of classical architecture, including the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, and Erechtheion, culminating in the iconic Parthenon. Finish your tour at the Acropolis Museum, where you can see the treasures of ancient Athens in their new home.

Day 2: Cape Sounion & Temple of Poseidon

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive along the beautiful Athens coastline. Pass through the charming beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, and Varkiza, heading towards Cape Sounion, the southernmost point of the Attica Peninsula. Here, visit the stunning Temple of Poseidon, perched above the Aegean Sea with breathtaking views of the Saronic Gulf. After exploring the temple, enjoy free time to wander around the rocky promontory or simply relax by the sea.

Day 3: Athens to Corfu (Kerkyra)

After breakfast, transfer from your Athens hotel to the airport or port for your flight or ferry to Corfu (Kerkyra). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Corfu, where you can enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Corfu is a beautiful blend of Greek charm, Venetian heritage, and breathtaking landscapes. Explore its rich cultural heritage, crystal-clear seas, and charming atmosphere.

Day 4: Achilleion Palace, Perama & Old Corfu Town

Today, take a guided tour to discover the beauty and history of Corfu. Your journey begins with a drive through the island’s lush, verdant countryside, passing through groves of orange, lemon, and olive trees, as well as vibrant vineyards and colorful wildflowers. Reach the Achilleion Palace in Gastouri, built by Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Sissy) in 1891 and later owned by Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany. Explore the palace rooms and the beautiful gardens adorned with classical statues, including the famous figures of Achilles Victorious and Achilles Dying.

Next, enjoy a scenic drive through Perama, where you can capture stunning views of the Vlacherna Convent and the picturesque Mouse Island. In Corfu Town, your guide will take you on a walking tour of the historic Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, filled with winding narrow streets and Venetian architecture. Visit the Old Venetian Fortress, the Church of Saint Spiridon (the island’s patron saint), the Royal Palace, and the Liston Piazza with its elegant arcades. Enjoy some free time for shopping in the vibrant town center before returning to your hotel.

Corfu’s rich history and cosmopolitan atmosphere provide endless opportunities for exploration.

After breakfast, transfer from your Corfu hotel to the airport or port for your flight or ferry back to Athens. Upon arrival in Athens, you will be transferred to your hotel for the night.
