8Days Athens – Crete

Day 1: Arrival in Athens

Upon your arrival in Athens, our friendly representative will meet you at the airport to extend a warm welcome to Greece and assist with any questions you may have. Afterward, you will be transferred to your hotel to unwind and settle in. In the evening, venture out and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Athens, where ancient history and modern comforts blend seamlessly to create a unique cultural experience.

Day 2: Athens Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

After a hearty breakfast, meet your expert guide for a fascinating half-day sightseeing tour through Athens’ most iconic landmarks. Start with the majestic Temple of Olympian Zeus, then stroll by Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament, and the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier. Continue to the Academy of Athens, the University, and the National Library, all beautiful examples of classical architecture. The tour culminates at the Acropolis Museum, where over 4,000 ancient Greek artifacts are housed, offering an in-depth look into Greece’s rich history and culture.

Day 3: Arrival in Crete

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Crete. Upon arrival, our local representative will be waiting to transfer you to your selected hotel. Once you’ve checked in, enjoy some free time to explore the island’s capital, Heraklion, or take a tour to the Ancient Palace of Knossos, the legendary center of the Minoan civilization.

Days 4, 5 & 6: Explore Crete

With three full days to explore, you’ll have plenty of time to uncover the many wonders of Crete. Discover charming, off-the-beaten-path villages, where you can enjoy authentic local cuisine at family-run tavernas offering a delightful mix of Anatolian and Mediterranean flavors. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Imbros and Samaria Gorges provide some of the most stunning hiking trails in Europe, while beach lovers will be awestruck by Elafonissi’s pink coral sands and the palm-lined shores of Preveli Beach. Whether you prefer hiking through dramatic landscapes or simply relaxing by crystal-clear waters, Crete offers something for every type of traveler.

Day 7: Return to Athens

In the morning, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Athens. Once back in the capital, enjoy your final day with some last-minute shopping, or explore any landmarks you may have missed during your first visit. Treat yourself to a traditional Greek dinner at a local taverna, savoring the flavors of Greece one last time before your departure.

Day 8: Departure from Athens

On your last day, our assistant will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Athens Airport for your return flight home. We hope you leave with unforgettable memories and a longing to return to Greece!
