Kythira is the island located south of the Peloponnese. Τhe island has been associated with the goddess Venus. It has interesting architecture and several attractions such as Paleochora which is the ruined Byzantine capital. Avlemonas is a picturesque fishing village where the sandy beach of Palaiopolis is located near the traditional village.
