The island has an archaeological museum, with a reference point the “Lady of Kalymnos”, a maritime museum, a museum of marine finds and a folklore museum. Kalymnos is today famous for one thing in particular: its rocky landscape the island has shaped up to be a top clambing destination and already counts many climbing clubs. The International Climbing Festival is taking place every year in Kalymnos. The best seaside resorts are located on the western side of the island, in Myrties, Kantouni, and Emporios, you’ll find many hotels, studios, and apartments. One of the must things to do is a trip to the neighboring island of Tenedos, is a tiny remote island that boasts an incredible natural landscape. You’ll find many naturists beaches, secluded coves, and traditional settlements- the perfect place to relax away from the bright lights.

How to get there?

Kalymnos has a national airport with direct flights to and from Athens. Alternatively, you can reach the island by ferry from Piraeus Port in Athens, though the journey is long. Another option is to travel to the neighboring island of Rhodes and then take a ferry to Kalymnos.
