Ιn central and northern Evia you can go by road or by bus, in southern Evia you can go by boat from the port of Rafina and by boat from Oropos to Eretria in central Evia. North Evia is famous for the thermal baths of Edipsos and its commercial and agricultural center of Istiaia. Α special place of North Evia is Lake Evia with its romantic landscape and traditional buildings and taverns. Local products that you can find from northern Euboia are oil, olives, vegetables and dried figs from Istiaea and Rovies, fish from Edipso. Υou can also visit Lychada and Lychadonisia by boat from St. George Lichada. The Rovies area is one of the most beautiful seaside resorts of North Evia with many beaches and the possibility of organized camping. Finally, the bustling tourist center of northern Evia is the Orei area with many seaside taverns and connected by ferry to Skiathos. Ιn central Evia the capital of the island is Chalkida which is the modern city with a large market and services next to the sea. The stately and welcoming town of Kymi in central Euboia with characteristic architecture with stone buildings and cobbled narrow streets, ideal for family holidays with many beaches, taverns. Eretria is another destination of Evia which is a modern town that apart from its great archaeological sites you will find the island of dreams with a bridge that connects it to the mainland and can be explored on foot. Υou can visit the mountain refuge Dirfis in the location “Leiri” at an altitude of 1120 meters with a capacity of 55 people. Αnd finally the beauties of southern Evia with the legendary Kavo Doro, the quarries of the famous Karystos slab, the Dystos lake and the mountain complex of Ochi. Karystos, the picturesque town of Evia, in addition to the aforementioned, you will also find the Dracospito, a megalithic structure where the prevailing version says that they were sacred houses dedicated to Zeus and Hera.
