Day 1 – Arrival in Athens
On arrival you will meet our representative at the airport to answer any questions you may have. Afterwards, your personal driver will take you through the bustling city to your selected hotel. Take the rest of the day to begin your acquaintance with Athens at your own pace.
Day 2 – Athens Half Day Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast we will meet you at your hotel and start the morning Athens sightseeing tour. An essential part of any visit to Athens, this tour will take you to the most important landmarks of the Greek capital, culminating in the historic Acropolis and its magnificent museum. An amalgamation of culture, history and philosophy from both antiquity and the modern era. After witnessing history come alive you will have the afternoon at leisure for some well-earned rest.
Day 3 – Arrival in Delphi
Time to embark upon your road trip! Our car rental representative will meet you at your hotel in the morning to deliver your car. You will drive to the world-renowned Delphi and visit the Archaeological Site, where the Oracle once stood. Take your time to explore the area and enjoy the scenery along the way. A visit to the cosmopolitan village of Arachova is highly recommended!
Day 4 – Arrival in Pelion
After a filling breakfast, you’ll hit the road to Pelion, one of the most charming areas of Central Greece. Pelion is an all-year round destination, favored by locals, due to its picturesque villages and natural beauty which perfectly encapsulates the Greek climate. Some of the most famous villages of the region include Makrinitsa, Portaria, Milies and Tsagarada, so you can do more than just stretch your legs by taking a few quick stops during your drive!
Day 5 – Explore Pelion
You’ll have a full day at your disposal to explore Pelion and the surrounding areas at your own pace. In the gorgeous beach of Damouchari, you can relive some of the most famous scenes from the iconic Mamma Mia film, or you can opt for beaches beloved by locals such as Mylopotamos and Fakistra. In any case, be sure to pack a swim suit! Alternatively you can take a day trip around the Pelion Peninsula and visit the magnificent Sea Caves of Thetis. Activities such as horse riding, kayaking and hiking are always available to those looking to spice up their holidays with a dose of adrenaline.
Day 6 – Arrival in Skiathos
In the morning you will drive to the coastal town of Volos port and board the ferry to the island of Skiathos. After you settle in your hotel, you’ll have the rest of the day to explore the main town. Find a high spot and take in the beauty of the turquoise waters of the Sporades beautifully blending with the numerous hues of green produced by the forests around the island.
Days 7 & 8 – Explore Skiathos
Skiathos is home to more than 60 beaches in a wide variety of scenery. The most famous of them all -and for good reason- is the secluded beach of Lalaria, which is approachable only by boat. For the Mamma Mia enthusiasts out there, the beach of Milia while strike very familiar! You will have ample time for sightseeing, and taking some time to visit the island’s Medieval Castle and the Museum of Papadiamantis can be highly rewarding. Another popular choice includes a day trip to the neighboring island of Alonissos, an underrated jewel of the Sporades complex.
Day 9 – Arrival in Skopelos
In the morning, you’ll drive to the port and bid adieu to Skiathos to catch the boat to the island of Skopelos. Your Mamma Mia adventure continues, as Skopelos is the actual island known as Kalokairi in the film!
Day 10 – Free day in Skopelos
Numerous tours can take you around the many Mamma Mia filming locations around Skopelos and they all culminate at the chapel of Agios Ioannis, better known to most from Sophie’s wedding scene. This lovely, secluded church sits on top of a rock and its location provides the ideal spot for a panoramic view of both Skopelos and Alonissos. Nearby, an out-of-the-way beach can complete the experience with a quick and refreshing swim in crystal-clear waters. You can also take advantage of your car and visit the picturesque town of Glossa and watch the sun go down in an impressive hue of colors with a glass of local wine in your hand.
Day 11 – Return to Athens
After breakfast hop on your car and drive to the Skopelos port in order to take the ferry to Agios Konstantinos. Continue the road trip to Athens amidst beautiful scenery with your hotel in the capital as your destination. Upon arrangement, our car rental collaborator will meet you to hand over your vehicle.
Day 12 – Departure from Athens
You will be met by our assistant at your hotel and transferred to the airport by your personal driver for your departure flight.
