8 Days Athens-Kefalonia

First Day arrive at airport and we transfer you to Athens Hotel, then you have the day free or you have a tour to Acropolis and Acropolis Museum – ancient Agora etc.his tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop). Continue and pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma). On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon. Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis museum.

Second day in Athens you will have a Cave Sounion Tourdrive along the coastal road, passing the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni & Varkiza to the most Southern point of Attica, Cape Sounion, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. On the way, you have a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf and the little islands offshore. After visiting the Temple of Poseidon, you have time to walk at leisure on the rocky promontory of Sounion or your day free

Third Day you have transfer from Athens hotel to airport to Kefalonia or you take the bus to Killini port and then the ferry to Kefalonia . Arrive at Kefalonia and we transfer you to Hotel. You have the day free.

Fourth Day Ithaca Exploration Tour.

Why not take the opportunity and join us as we sail across to visit our neighboring island of Ithaca; famous for its unspoiled traditional villages, charming picturesque fishing ports and breathtaking natural beauty.

Together we will visit the capital of the island Vathy, where you can join the locals to take coffee at the main square, explore the quaint narrow streets or visit the local museum. As the home of the Greek King, Odysseus, Ithaca is stepped in Greek mythology ready for you to discover!

At the highest point of the island sits Kathara Monastery, which provides the perfect setting for you to take incredible photographs of the whole island, before we head down to the idyllic town of Stavros;
a typical village where you can truly appreciate the local charm of this amazing island, where it appears that time stood still. Some of the sights in Stavros are the beautiful church of Sotiras which stands in the central square of the village and the archaeological museum.

Lunch will be enjoyed in the harbor side town Κioni. Here you will be met with a wonderful choice of traditional taverns where you can have lunch next to the sea.

Seeing the place gives you a better understanding of what you have read about it, it is clear why Ithaca, a rough and rugged land surrounded by magic and colorful coves, gave birth to the brilliant, resourceful, ingenious Odysseus.

Sixth Day Kefalonia North Tour. If you want an unforgettable day on your holiday you must join us for an excursion to explore Assos, Fiscardo and Myrtos Beach.
Our first stop will be to the famous Myrtos beach for swimming in the crystal turquoise water.
Then, in Fiscardo, the only village that wasn’t affected by the 1953 earthquake, where you can explore the excellent selection of boutique shops. The village has many taverns, where you can enjoy a relaxed meal of traditional local dishes, continental cuisine or perhaps freshly caught seafood.
Early in the afternoon, we will arrive in Assos, the most picturesque village on the island, where you can stroll around the harbor side, admire the views with a coffee or an ice-cream.

Seventh Day transfer from Kefalonia hotel to airport or to port to Athens. We transfer you to Athens hotel.
