At Porto Cheli, leave your car in a secure garage at Kosta Port and take a 5-minute sea taxi to Spetses. Once you arrive, make your way to your hotel, noting that motorized vehicles are not permitted within the town limits, adding to the island’s charm.

Day 4: Free Day in Spetses

Spend the day at leisure on the beautiful island of Spetses. Steeped in history, Spetses played a key role in the 1821 War of Independence. Explore the Bouboulina Museum, dedicated to the island’s naval heroine, and discover monuments from this era. Relax on the crystal-clear beaches, or take a leisurely horse-drawn carriage ride around the town. In the evening, enjoy a delicious meal at a local tavern, savoring the flavors of Peloponnesian cuisine.

Day 5: Arrival in Monemvasia

From Spetses, board a water taxi back to your car and continue your journey to Monemvasia. Drive through the scenic Peloponnesian countryside, passing vineyards and charming villages. Make a stop at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for its exceptional acoustics, before heading to Cape Maleas. As you approach Monemvasia, enjoy breathtaking views of this medieval town perched on a massive rock, connected to the mainland by a bridge.

Day 6: Explore Monemvasia

Explore the Old Town of Monemvasia, with its medieval and Venetian architecture. Wander through narrow streets and discover hidden gems before stopping for lunch at a local taverna. In the afternoon, you can explore nearby villages like Archangelos and Plitra, or visit the Kastania Cave, home to stunning stalagmites estimated to be 3 million years old. Alternatively, take a day trip to Mystras, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or visit the Diros Water Caves or the charming town of Gythion.

Day 7: Arrival in Elafonissos

Take a ferry from the port of Pounda to Elafonissos, an island with an exotic, almost Caribbean feel. With its white sandy beaches, natural dunes, and lagoons, Elafonissos is a paradise that is also a protected Natura 2000 site, preserving its unique environment.

Today, explore the breathtaking beauty of Simos Beach, where two bays meet, creating a stunning landscape. The turquoise waters and white sand create unforgettable scenery. You’ll also want to visit Panagia Beach, which includes the picturesque islets of Kasela, Prassonisi, and Lefto. Elafonissos is also a great spot for water sports, so feel free to take advantage of the island’s pristine beaches.

Day 9: Arrival in Nafplion

On your return trip, stop at Pavlopetri Beach, home to the submerged ruins of the ancient city of Pavlopetri, dating back over 5,000 years. Continue your journey towards the charming town of Nafplion, the first capital of modern Greece, where you’ll spend the night.
